Responsibilities of a care professional
- Companionship - ensuring your client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your role - including helping them take part in community activities
- Home help with everyday tasks - such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, picking up prescriptions and running errands
- Personal care - supporting clients with the daily essentials such as getting up and going to bed, bathing, dressing and grooming so they can continue to live safely in their own homes
- Specialist care - should your client's needs change you will receive the training to deliver the person-centred care they need
