Carer of the Month – January 2025

We have our first winner of our Carer of the Month award – Congratulations Dan Munro!
Dan, who has been with us seven+ months, has received some lovely emails and client phone calls to recommend him for Carer of the Month for January. Just a couple are shown below:
“Most of my carers are exceptionally caring but one performed above and beyond when he had to deal with my Meniere’s disease several times which was not a happy task (vomiting and diarrhoea). His name is Daniel Munro, and I shall always be grateful for his care and attention”.
Client
[NB: Ménière’s disease is a chronic inner ear disorder that causes vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a feeling of fullness in the ear.]
Also, asked to give urgent, extra, same-day care to one of our existing clients who had been unwell, Dan went in on the same evening. The comment from her best friend who lives with her was:
“Dan was “excellent”, and I could not fault him in any way. He showed so much compassion towards my friend, and I was truly grateful to have had him last night at such short notice…. Dan has delivered exceptional care, and I just want you to know how grateful I am.”
Best Friend of Client
Dan also received this commendation from the in-house management team:
“Dan helped out so much in January with extra shifts, and he is always willing to help out, which is so nice. He once said to me that he doesn’t work because he has to (he has another business) he works because he likes to give something back to the community. He genuinely is a very lovely chap and is a pleasure to work alongside at Angel Carers.”

You should be able to recognise him by the badge on his lanyard that says:
“You make a difference”
